How is weather measured? Part 2

Students met in their teams today to begin creating their weather instruments. We will begin to measure the weather tomorrow and collect data! What's next? Using our data to make predictions!

How is Weather Measured?

Students are using our new Chromebooks to research weather instruments in teams. Each student is part of a team who has to investigate a specific weather measuring instrument, how it works, and what materials are needed to make one at school. All of this information is being added to a shared document. In the following days, students will prepare to make each instrument, make the instrument, and collect weather data.

Ben Franklin Visits Rue

Today, a very special guest visited Rue! Ben Franklin! He gave some background on the history of money, wants and needs, and money responsibility. He also spoke about the importance of saving. Students received a signed comic book and posed for a photo op. Thank you to TS Bank for making Ben's visit possible!

Dr. Seuss Family Night

It was so great to see so many of our 3rd grade families tonight! Thanks for coming!

Rue Students, Bank Tellers?

A representative from TS Bank visited today to share news about a Rue and TS Bank Partnership next year. Students will be able to make a deposit into their savings account, once a week, right at school. Better yet, students who are third graders now will be the tellers next year. Students will work on the interview process this week and begin interviews next week! Want to know more? Visit our TS Bank representatives at our Dr. Seuss Family Night tomorrow evening.
