Edmodo is used for groups to discuss their reading while preparing for their literature discussion group. Students can ask and respond to questions, share opinions, and seek help from others. The user name is their first name and Rue (JanineRue) and the password is their normal cb and six-digit ID (cb123456).
Students are challenged to read 40 books in 5th grade. When students have completed a book they can go to their GoodReads account to rate it and post a review of it. This review can be shared with the world. Students can also read the reviews of other classmates. The best thing is that they can use this account throughout their life as a reader!
